One of the ladies on a stamp list I belong to asked about a Photo Explosion Box. I know it by the name Scrapbook in a box. So.....here is the tutorial on how to make one of these. They are super easy. I Probably have made 20 or 25 of these for different occasions. Baby Shower gifts, Bridal Shower gifts, Graduations, Vacation, just about any theme you want to do.

Scrapbook in a Box or Explosion Photo Box

Supplies:
2 or 3 sheets of 12” X 12” card stock Different colors that coordinate.
1 sheet of 8-1/2” x 11” of card stock or designer series paper that will coordinate. (for your top)
1 or 2 sheet of designer series paper for the inside pages. You also want these to coordinate.

Step #1
Score your first piece of 12” x 12” piece of card stock at 4” and 8”.
Rotate 90 degrees and score again at 4” and 8”.

Step #1

Carefully cut away all four corner pieces. (you can use these later in the construction of your project. Crease your score lines. This is the bottom of your box.
Step #3
Cut your next piece of card stock 11” x 11”. Score at 3-5/8” and 7-3/8. Turn 90 degrees and score again at 3-5/8” and 7-3/8”. Cut away all four corner pieces. Crease your score lines.
This is one of the insert pieces.
Step #4
Cut your next piece of card stock 10-1/2” x 10-1/2”. Score at 3-1/2” and 7”. Turn 90 degrees and score again at 3-1/2” and 7”, Cut out the four corners. Crease your score lines.
Step #5
Cut your Designer series paper (DSP) into a 7” x 7” square. Score at 1-1/2” on all four sides.
Cut up to the 1-1/2” score line. Crease and tape down to form your box lid.

Step #6Cut your ribbon to fit your box lid. I put Snail approximately every 3” except where I would be tying the ribbon. The snail is to hold the ribbon in place.
