Sundays Tutorial is a Star Book. This book has been around for ages and ages. I have been cleaning closets and found an old one. Thought you might like an updated version .
Supplies:
Cardstock ( 3) - 8 ½” x 11” for star
( 1 ) – 8 ½” x 11” for Cover of book
Designer Series Paper or any type of decorator paper ( 2) - 12 x 12 pieces
****You can choose to do your book in all different colors instead of one color therefore you could use scrap pieces for everything as long as they are big enough.
Ribbon – approximately 18”
Bone Folder
Snail Adhesive
Large circle or square punch or a coluzzle
Ink pads to go with your color scheme
Neutral cardstock for stamping on (again, scraps can be used).
Step #1
Cut your cardstock to measure 4” x 8” (you will need five pieces). If your using the same color you can get two pieces out of one sheet of cardstock.
Step #2
Fold your cardstock in half so it is now 4” x 4”. Use your bone folder to get a nice sharp crease. Fold and crease the other four pieces.
Step #3
You will now glue your cardstock together. Your front of one piece to the back of another piece until you have all five glued together. See Photo for detail.
The photo below is looking down on the star card.
Step #4
Cut your Designer Series paper 4” x 8”, you will need 5 pieces.
You will now fold your designer series paper in half so it is 4’ x 4” You will want this center fold to be a mountain fold.
Step #5
Unfold your card. Take your right hand side and fold it to the middle of your card. Insert photo 5A Take your left hand side and fold it to the middle. Your back is now 4 “ across and your fronts are two inches each and they should meet in the middle. Now you want to make sure the center fold is a mountain fold and the two sides are valley folds.

Step #6
If you use a coluzzle, use one of the smaller cuts that will fit your paper. Make sure you center your paper before punching it out.

Decorate as a baby announcement, a shower announcement, a birthday invitation. Let your mind be your imagination.

I hope you enjoy this tutorial. It really is an easy book to make. There are so many uses for a star book and I do not know anyone that has not loved receiving one.
